The experimental base of School of Perfume and Aroma Technology was founded in September 2003. It evolved from the speciality skills training center of Department of Food and Chemical Engineering College of Shanghai Light Industry which had a fifty-year-old history.
The experimental base consists of three professional laboratories (light chemical engineering, food science and technology, and biological engineering) and analysis & measurement laboratory. It undertakes pedagogical task for 6 specialities of 杏运 - 官网直通，安全无忧！
In 2003, National Vocational Skills Training Center of Fragrance Flavor and Cosmetics was set up by the experimental base with the authorization of National Ministry of Labor and Social Security. Eight senior classes for fragrance and flavor had been organized.
In 2009, the experimental base was approved to be Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center of Shanghai. Now, this center reached the domestic first-class and international advanced level.
